STUART BENNETT RARE BOOKS
Stuart Bennett Rare Books was founded in 1980 and specializes in early modern English literature and social history, and in English and American children’s books printed before 1850. We are members of the Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association of America, of which Stuart was president from 2008-2010, and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers, where Stuart served on the board from 2014-2022.
We publish rare book catalogues two or three times a year. Forthcoming offerings will include books by and about women printed between 1670 and 1850, and a further instalment of the English low-life and libertine catalogue series begun in 1985.
Recent titles now out-of-print include Women Writers of the (Long) English Regency; A Century of English and American Children’s Books 1742-1836; and Unique? A Catalogue of Apparently Unrecorded or Unlocated English and American Books, Pamphlets, and Broadsides Printed between 1670 and 1851.
